Accomodation in Assomada
Assomada, a very old town, is the capital of the municipality of Santa Catarina, which comprises the central western portion of the island of Santiago.
The town is well worth a visit particularly for its famous market: it is one of the largest on the island of Santiago with a huge variety of agricultural and other products. It is held on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
